2008-9 GRANT AWARD RECIPIENTS

Agency Background: ESBF, founded in 1950, is a non-profit social services agency providing assistance to children, youth, and adults including: assessment/intervention for children with disabilities, assessment/therapeutic interviews for children who have been neglected or abused, home visits for children to prevent abuse, center-based child care, etc.

Focus of the 2009 SCCF Grant: Parent and Child Tuition Support The SCCF grant will provide support to low-income families (not eligible for Department of Economic Security subsidies) in the form of child care tuition compensation based on a sliding fee scale. It is anticipated that the grant would support up to 30 children and families for an average of six months of subsidy per child.
