Denim, Dinner, an' Dancin' 2009
Denim, Dinner an’ Dancin’ was the first event of the 2009 season and the first fundraiser for the Stone Canyon Community Foundation. The turnout was fantastic with over 140 members and residents in attendance. The weather was perfect for dinner and dancin’ by the pool. Attendees also enjoyed desserts prepared and donated by Stone Canyon member Lucy Cioe, also of Jax Kitchen. The big winners of the evening were:
- Gwen Gildea – a Chanel handbag donated by Eileen and Tony Antonucci
- Nancy Ketcham – a Larry Vrba necklace and earring set donated by Eileen and Tony Antonucci
- Kathy Snyder – a Moschino handbag donated by Eileen and Tony Antonucci
- Karl Struble – a pair of Lucchese men’s boots donated by J. Gilbert Footwear
- John Tellman – a case of fine wine donated by Roger and Diane Nellans
- Irene Manion – a wine basket donated by the Stone Canyon Club
The best part of all was that we were able to raise $14,000 for the Stone Canyon Foundation! This included the proceeds from the tickets and raffle as well as donations from members who were unable to attend but wanted to support the event ($1845) and donations to cover the expense of the band and flowers ($1250).
It was a great evening with a great outcome thanks to the generosity of the Stone Canyon members and residents and the Stone Canyon Club and staff!
