Second Annual Grant Awards Presentation

A big "THANK YOU" goes out to all the Stone Canyon members and the staff of the Stone Canyon Club for making our Second Annual Grant Awards Presentation possible!

On April 6th, we distributed grants totaling $120,000 to 11 agencies serving "at risk" youth in Oro Valley and Tucson.  When you add the matching funds of $25,000 from the Diamond Family Foundation, the grand total was $145,000. By any standard, this is quite impressive for a Foundation that is only in its second year. The agencies were so grateful for our support and said they know of no other community that has a foundation such as ours -- just one more reason why Stone Canyon is such a special place to live!

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!  At the end of the presentation, Ed Lyman announced that a member of Stone Canyon will match all donations made by "new" donors to the Stone Canyon Community Foundation up to $10,000.  Less than 24 hours later, our first "new" donor came forward and contributed $2,000!  What a great start toward our goal!
